Prior to joining the Canadian Real Estate Association, Michael was President and CEO of the Railway Association of Canada. He has over 30 years of experience in government, public affairs and government relations. Michael is focused on REALTOR.ca and CREA’s other technology services; advocacy and regulatory matters as well as the reputation and public understanding of REALTORS® and the value they provide to property owners, buyers and sellers.
BC Notaries Association
Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and raised in Kitimat, BC, Wayne worked early in his career for a group that owned insurance and real estate offices, travel agencies, movie theatres, and golf courses in and around Terrace.
He was first licensed as an insurance agent in 1967, qualified for the nominee licence in 1970, and held the life insurance licence for 28 years. Wayne bought the insurance agency in 1975 and ran a successful Autoplan and general insurance agency in Terrace for over 30 years.
During that time, he purchased and operated Parrott and Braid Insurance Agency in Kitimat and Stewart, a small northern town on the border of British Columbia and Alaska. He was Chair of the Northern Insurance Brokers Association for many years and served two-and-a-half terms on the Board of the Insurance Brokers of BC.
A BC Notary in good standing, Wayne opened his Notary practice in Terrace in 1986, the year he graduated from the BC Notary program at the University of British Columbia.
He was appointed January 1, 2001, as Chief Executive Officer/Secretary of The Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia, a professional self-governing organization whose members provide noncontentious legal services to the people of BC. He retired from that position September 30, 2017.

Tasha Kheiriddin is a national political commentator, writer and founder and CEO of Ellipsum Public Affairs. Fluently bilingual, she provides weekly political analysis in French on Radio Canada’s Le Telejournal, writes columns for the La Presse and Global News websites, and comments in English for Global News Radio and CBC. In 2016, the Women’s Executive Network named Tasha one of Canada’s “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” for her work in media and communications. She is an in demand speaker and moderator and had the privilege of MC’ing the National Mortgage Conference in 2018 and 2019.
CEO at Canadian Home Builders’ Association
Kevin Lee is an Engineer with a Masters in Architecture who has worked in the housing industry for 30 years. With his experience in both the public and private sectors, he brings a wealth of knowledge in business, public policy, & technology to the CEO position at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.
Kevin was chair of the International Housing Association 2016-2018, and continues his role as IHA immediate past chair.
Prior to CHBA, he served as an executive at NRCan where he successfully managed the $1 billion ecoENERGY Retrofit program under the Economic Action Plan that retrofitted over 640,000 homes & resulted in some $9B in economic activity.
Kevin also directed the development of the next generation of the EnerGuide Rating System, R-2000 and ENERGY STAR for New Homes initiatives, engaging over 500 stakeholders from coast to coast in a comprehensive consultative processes. He was NRCan’s first ever member of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (and is now CHBA’s representative).
Previously, Kevin was Deputy Director with CANMET, managing research activities for the built environment. In this role he chaired the committee overseeing energy research at NRCan, CMHC, NRC & Environment Canada.
